ServiceV Pro is now ReadyAPI Virtualization What is SoapUI Pro SoapUI Pro 3.5.0 is the latest successor in the SoapUI product line and is included in the ReadyAPI platform along with tools for load testing, security testing, and API virtualization/mocking. This will not impact existing/new license or seats. Of note, no pricing changes are happening in conjunction with this update. We’re excited about this more consistent direction, and we’re excited about what the future holds for ReadyAPI.

We’re sure it will take some time for us to catch all the instances of the old names on the internet, but we’ll try our best to update everything accordingly. Over the next few months, you’ll see ReadyAPI messaging align around the integrative and flexible nature of our tools: on the website, in advertising, and in the product itself. It was time the name of these three tools reflected that. SmartBear delivers these capabilities in the ReadyAPI platform to make the process of comprehensive API testing as seamless as possible. SoapUI Pricing Overview SoapUI pricing starts at 599.00 per feature, per year. Or you can virtualize external APIs that don’t handle load tests via ReadyAPI Virtualization and test them via ReadAPI Performance. SoapUI Pro is trusted by top brands and organizations across a variety of industries including technology, financial, medical, manufacturing, e-commerce, and government agencies. For example, with LoadUI Pro – excuse me, ReadyAPI Performance :) – you can reuse your functional API tests built within ReadyAPI Test as load testing workloads. SoapUI Pro, LoadUI Pro, and ServiceV Pro do not live in their own lanes. The old names also did the integrative nature of the tools a disservice.

And we figured aligning it under ReadyAPI is a good start. We’ll continue our SOAP heritage by supporting SOAP protocols and ensuring the open source tool continues to be named SoapUI, but SoapUI Pro has evolved into so much more than a SOAP tool. We support REST, GraphQL, MQTT, and more …but you might not have known that by just looking at the name. We feel a good reason to change a product name is that it’s not doing the job you want it to do – and because a simpler, more distinctive evolution of it could do that job better.Īs an example, look at SoapUI Pro. Yes, change is inevitable and something we should all embrace (although it seems like we’ve done enough of that in 2020) but that’s not a good enough reason to rename beloved products. Firstly, it’s not change for the sake of change.
