#The crack pack modpack mod
One mod I left out, but that is very handy at the beginning of the game is Tinkers' Construct. Of those, the most involved are probably Thaumcraft and Mekanism. Some of the most important mods are probably Thaumcraft, Thermal Expansion + Minefactory Reloaded, Mekanism, and Flans. I am of course assuming you are playing on Crackpack 1.5. IC2 and Ars Magica 2 are not in the base modpack anymore, however Ars Magica is still an optional mod so I could answer questions about it if you are choosing to use it. I'm gonna do an AMA of sorts for people new to these mods, I think. The lighter blue liquid is Liquid Essence, which is part of Ars Magica 2 and is the first step in the mod (put a book in an item frame over a source block of essence and see what happens!) Sludge can be collected through the use of a harvester, and can be sent to a sludge boiler to make dirt, soul sand, clay, and a bunch of other materials. Sewage can be gained from using MFR's sewer underneath mobs (remember to not breed and collect sewage in the same place unless you can route the mob essence it'll collect from experience) and can be used to make Fertilizer in a composter. The different color waters are sewage(brown) and sludge(black/really dark purple/blue). I, unfortunately, cannot yet speak for Thaumcraft 4 or Ars Magica, my last server ran Thaumcraft 3 and I've yet to play with it. While I cannot speak for the ores, I can answer a few of the questions here, and can go in to detail if you need me to.
